Ramapo Catskill Libraries KNIT Collection Kits

Thank you for participating in the Ramapo Catskill Libraries Tempestry Collection! This collection is being developed in partnership with the Ramapo Catskill Library System, and Tempestries made for this collection will remain with the collection for display throughout the Hudson Valley region.

Choose the year you would like to knit from the ‘Choose An Option’ menu below. Those years that are ‘out of stock’ or not listed have already been chosen by other collection participants. If you are sponsoring a kit for another knitter but don’t have a particular year you’d like to choose, please scroll down to the bottom of the list of years and choose “sponsored kit.”

Please note that this collection is not for first-time knitters, and that participants should be familiar with the linen stitch and striping colorwork — or at least comfortable learning them quickly!

ALL MID-HUDSON TEMPESTRY KNIT KITS INCLUDE:

-One organza gift bag, 12”x14”
-Individually-wound bobbins of Tempestry wool yarn calculated to match the number of days in each temperature range for your selected year
-One Original Tempestry color card
-One project label
-One Original Tempestry project pattern/guidelines
-One Original Tempestry worksheet (this includes the daily high temperature data for the year, the corresponding color for each day’s temperature, and a progress column) using data primarily from Liberty, NY.
-One Needle Wrangler

All our work is done in a smoke-free but cat-friendly home. While this particular cat is not prone to playing with yarn and is banned from the yarn workshop, her hair (as any pet owner knows) does occasionally stray.
