Tempestry Parable, Petrichor, 100g/440yds

“Petrichor: a distinctive, earthy, usually pleasant odor that is associated with rainfall especially when following a warm, dry period and that arises from a combination of volatile plant oils and geosmin released from the soil into the air and by ozone carried by downdrafts.” (Merriam Webster Dictionary)

We have two skeins of this moody, earthy mauve gray brown, Petrichor. 100g/440yds each. (This is our Emily’s favorite so far!)

Tempestry Parable is a soft, cozy elegant fingering-weight yarn made of 50% alpaca and 50% wool, 100% US-sourced fiber, mostly New York State. Parable is custom milled for us by the good folks at Battenkill Fibers right here in the Hudson Valley.

We dye just 1-4 skeins at a time and there can be quite a bit of variation within each dyelot so please keep that in mind as you plan your project!

All our work is done in a smoke-free but cat-friendly home. While this particular cat is not prone to playing with yarn, her hair (as any pet owner knows) does occasionally stray.
