The full first run of the Tempestry Yarn (all 1383 pounds of it!) were finally milled last week and arrived at the dyeworks this morning, yay! We have been sent and approved of most of our 38 Tempestry colors so far, and are excited to see the rest. The dyeworks is amazing, and those of you who have been working on Tempestry collections will be delighted with how close a match our custom colors are to the old KnitPicks yarns.
The dyeing process is going to be slower than we’d originally anticipated, due in part to covid safety regulations at the dyeworks, and will take 9-10 weeks to process the full 38-color Tempestry collection. But we are hoping to receive all the New Normal Tempestry colors by the end of December, and will jump in to processing all New Normal kits right away. Original Kits should be processed and shipped in February, along with New Year Sale kits. We are renaming colors as we approve them (thank you for the help with this!), and listing them for pre-order. We can’t wait to wind off cakes of all these gorgeous colorways, and get them on your hooks, needles, and looms!
